Textured finish AplaTencoPlast
In case you want a modern textured finish, Apla recommends you the following solution:
Before applying the solvent based primer, AplaEXprime, make sure that the support surface is dry, free of dust, grease or mineral salts. AplaEXprime, due to its special properties, penetrates the voids of the surfaces forming a fine and impenetrable film which insures a better adherence and a better laying of the paint on the support. It has also a remarkable resistance to the alkalinity of concrete walls, which increases considerably the paint resistance in time. AplaEXprime drying time is one hour. After the primed surface has dried, apply AplaTencoPlast textured decorative plaster. It is a paste ready to use which when applied to the exterior wall, results in a coating of quartz and silica granules perfectly adhered with a high degree of elasticity.
AplaTencoPlast protects and decorates the buildings and may be associated with the AplaWallTherm system, which insures a high degree of thermal insulation. The drying time is between 24 and 48 hours (depending on weather conditions and the support surface. Protect against rain during the first 24 hours. AplaTencoPlast is available with three different textures: Rice (2 mm), Fine Shell (2 mm) or Crust (3 mm).

Due to its special properties, it penetrates the voids of the surfaces forming a fine and impenetrable film which insures a good adherence and stretch of the final layer of paint on the base layer. At the same time, it has a remarkable resistance to the alkalinity of concrete walls, which increases considerably the resistance in time of the acrylic paint. AplaEXprime drying time is one hour. After the primed surface has dried, apply AplaCryl exterior paint in two layers, by roller or spraying. The drying time between layers is 24 hours, depending on temperature and humidity.

After drying, this may be finished by a very fine sanding paper, in order to prepare the surface for painting. First prime the wall with AplaEXprime solvent based primer. Due to its special properties, AplaEXprime penetrates the voids of the surfaces forming a fine and impenetrable film which insures a better adherence and a better laying of the paint on the support. At the same time, it has a remarkable resistance to the alkalinity of concrete walls, which increases considerably the resistance in time of acrylic paint.
