Apla Finishing Systems - Interior

In order to obtain perfectly finished walls you have to pass the following stages:

Remove any signs of extra mortar and level the walls with AplaUltraGlet gypsum based filler, having the role of filling and leveling the surface to be painted. The working time for AplaUltraGlet is 50 – 60 minutes. Leave it to dry for 24 hours, after which apply AplaMesh glass fiber net, for reinforcement.

The role of the reinforcement net is to prevent further appearance of cracks. This net is fixed on the wall by AplaFill white cement based filler. AplaFill working time is of two hours on inside applications. AplaFill drying time on inside applications is 20-30 minutes in ideal conditions of temperature and humidity. After drying, this may be smoothed by a very fine sanding paper, in order to prepare the surface for painting. First prime the wall with AplaINprime water based primer. The drying time for AplaINprime is 2 hours. AplaINprime has the role of providing an ideal base layer for the emulsion paint, reducing its consumption, and in the case of color paints, it contributes greatly to the color durability. Then it follows the application of colored or white interior emulsion paint AplaPremio, AplaLux, or AplaChrom. The paint has to be applied in two layers, by roller or spraying. The drying time between layers is 1-2 hours, depending on temperature and humidity.

In case of repairing a paint coating older than 2 years, Apla recommends the following stages:

Repair the small irregularities of the walls with AplaFill interior cement based filler and the wall cracks or window wood frame cracks with AplaStoco putty, for wood and walls. After drying, it may be smoothed by a very fine sand paper. Prime the wall with AplaINprime water based primer. The drying time for AplaINprime is two hours. AplaINprime has the role of providing an ideal base layer for washable paint, reducing its consumption. Then it follows the application of colored or white interior emulsion paint AplaPremio, AplaLux, or AplaChrom. The paint shall be applied in two layers, by roller or spraying. The drying time between layers is 1-2 hours, depending on temperature and humidity.
